Eden – The Boy From The Future 
A time traveller, Eden, who just turns 16, comes back from the future with two katanas on his hands, a pair of futuristic trainers with a speed-boost engine, and two different colours on his eyes (red and dark blue) that match the colours of the katanas. The only usual things left on his body from the moment he got away are his beloved t-shirt, and his black short jeans which were given to him on his 12th birthday. 
The boy is back with a mad laugh and violent behaviour to everyone else. Some said he’s gone mad for having been in a place where none-living things live and ruleothers said it happens because of the side effects from time travelling that an ordinary child cannot bear….. But, none are the truth. 
Eden will lose his mother 17 days later, he will lose all of his friends due to personality disorder after suffering the bereavement, he will lose his father for the debt his house has undergone for a long time ago, he will have no place to turn to as his flesh and blood are afraid of his sickness, he will get involved in a traffic accident with a bus drive where he will lose his sight on the right eye, he will be alienated and left hungry to die when he reaches 18… 
Apparently, so many tragic losses in near future have turned him crazy and insensible, he saw things that a young kid shouldn’t have seen, he witnessed so many deaths and separations from his close relations that happened so casually as if it was destined for him…And now, stealing the swords and the machined boots from a military factory in the future, having an eye transplanted even before the accident from the same bus driver’s, Eden comes back, not to put a stop to the upcoming events, but to, instead, make others suffer the pain he went through for pleasures. 
Eden has totally five identities : A lonely 16 year-old Japanese boy with a pair of fantasy trainers: Eden, a Japanese serial killer and also a katana master: Gyoko, a mad American scientist: Nick, a wise British old woman: Emily, and a Mexican assassin who follows orders absolutely without questions: Juan. 
“I heard time is immutable.....Well, if we cannot change the flow of events at the present moment, from what had happened in the past. Why don’t we just go ahead and change the future?” said Emily

This is my third character created based on a concept of a Riot Games's game called League Of Legends, though the colour scheme isn't well-suited in the game environment, I wanted to replicate the idea of character creation so that the character will have a back story and some skill sets. 
The ideation was, in fact, inspired by a song called "Time Travel" by Tonyz. And the above compositing was exactly how I pictured the entire scene at the beginning.
The character was sculpted in ZBrush;
UV mapped, Rigged and Posed in Maya;
Textured in Substance Painter;
Composited and Colour Graded in After Effects CC;
The composition was fine-tuned and lastly, exported in Photoshop CC


The background was completely made in After Effects. I followed along some tutorials in order to create a time warp effects

The character was, in fact, made based on an anime character "Asta" from Black Clover with a little bit of twists.

During the time modeling, I experimented a simpler and better way to create hair using plane primitives instead of curves. With a plane created in Maya, I duplicated twice, snapped one end to the other's head, left the start and the middle bit alone and extruded the last plane of the hair primitive to twice the length of a single plane. One reason for that is to create instances of hair by using the separate bit from the middle part in ZBrush.
There was a tutorial channel that I followed to accomplish this step called "MonkeySuite"

SKILL SETS: 
Eden will begin any battle with a normal state, himself, which has a pair of speed-boost trainers that increases his base speed by a half and creates a quick ghosting effects. Each activated ability will start with a special movement/attack style. In order to change identity, you will need to change the state of the character corresponding to each skill set. Deactivating current skill set will bring Eden back. After swapping identities, clothes will be changed and thrown backwards towards the character. If he/she picks it up, countdown time will be reduced; if not, each skill will need 1 minute and 30 seconds before activatable. 
Passive Skill: Time Manipulation: Every 5 minutes, Eden has a chance to replace one of his late teammates’ position to bring vengeance upon their opponent. 
If Eden successfully brings down the enemy, he will be able to change the history within the affected area, revive his teammate, and they will swap each other’s position as if it was from the beginning. 
Skill 1The First Personality: The Katana Master: After activated, Gyoko flashes forwards and slashes two katanas at an aimed opponent, deals a true damage and make the enemy bleed for 5 seconds. After the slash, Gyoko will take over the body and continue to fight. 
Skill 2The Second Personality: The Mad Scientist: After activated, Nick throws a self-made atomic bomb which deals magic damage on an area and make any enemy within the detonated area burnt for 10 seconds. After the throw, Nick will take over the body and continue to fight as a mage with a wide-ranged basic attack. 
Skill 3The Third Personality: The Wise Old Woman: After activated, Emily deactivates all kinds of crowd-control ability: stuns, slows, fears or blinds... and furthermore, obtains that only one CC ability to return fire. After using the obtained ability, Emily will take over the body and continue to fight. 
Skill 4The Fourth Personality: The Assassin: After activated, Juan jumps backwards/forwards, lays his body on the ground and uses his favourite toy of all time for the occasion: a sniper rifle. The skill will initiate with a short jump that can be done through a short-distant wall, the firing is set to be linear projectile which has a pass-through effect and only collides when it hits a champion. After the shot, Juan will take over the body and continue to fight as a long-ranged attacking champion.
